DRAWINGS AND PRINTS
This is a selection of drawings and sketchbook pages in various stages, from very rough scribbles of ideas, to finished etchings.
I particularly like etching and sometimes I will make a print from a favourite drawing. I like to draw at concerts, sometimes the drawings are just scratchy little lines made in the dark in a messy sketchbook and they stay that way. Sometimes I will use them to make another piece of work. I drew Joanna Newsom at the ICA in London, November 2004, James Yorkston at Bush Hall, and Planxty at the Barbican. There are sketchbook pages here for two picture book ideas I am working on, 'Sea Glass' and 'Joey's Leaf'. Some images are reference drawings for other books, and look out for Joey's 'Sniff Book' at the end!
